Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Are you CLP compliant?
The short answer is yes, but what is CLP all about? Well, CLP stands for Classification, Labelling and Packaging. CLP is there for your safety as it will inform you about the hazards of any chemicals which have been used to make your wax product. Making sure that our customers can enjoy their products safely is the number one priority so the correct labelling gives everybody peace of mind. The CLP information for each product is available on the CLP page so you can view the information before making a purchase. For a look at all our CLP info in one place, take a look here. Although this may sound daunting, all our products are completely safe to use if they are used correctly and you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. If you would like any more information on CLP labelling, please get in touch.
  • Can I customise the design of one of the products on the store?
All products are premade so they have time to cure before being shipped to you. This is to increase the scent throw so you experience maximum fragrance. However, we are happy to take suggestions if you would like an alternative design and we will do our best to accommodate. This will mean that there may be a longer wait time before your order can be dispatched. Please get in touch before placing your order and we can discuss what you would like.
  • Can I request a fragrance that you currently don't stock?
We are more than happy to take any suggestions and you may see your fragrance on the store shortly after. If you would like to make a request, please use the contact us page or send us a message on Facebook or Instagram.
  • Do you offer wholesale orders?
We do. We have a £50 minimum spend on our wholesale orders which we manage through Faire. If you are new to the platform, you can enjoy £100 off your first order and 1 year of free shiopping. Chek it out here. If you have any questions about wholesale orders, please get in touch.

We ship orders up to 2kg using royal mail, you can choose between 1st or 2nd class at checkout. Orders over 2kg are sent by courier. We also offer free local collection from NG10 or will deliver locally for a £2 charge. Our final option is the Open Box service. We have more information on this below.

  • What are wax melts?
Wax melts are similar to candles minus the wick. Instead of burning them, they are placed in a warmer and melted. As the wax is not burnt, it stays in your warmer and can be reused multiple times before all the fragrance has faded.
  • How do I use my wax melts?
The two main types of warmer are tealight and electric. If you have opted for a tealight warmer, place a lit tealight in the space under your dish and place a melt in the dish and the scent will be released. Do not add any water to your dish. If you have gone for an electric warmer, simply switch it on and the dish will heat up causing your wax to melt.
  • Will my wax melt evaporate as I use it?
As your wax melt does not come into contact with a naked flame it will not evaporate as a candle does. You can use the same wax melt until all the scent has gone and then dispose of the residual wax and swap it out for a new melt.
  • Which type of warmer should I choose?
Neither type of warmer is better than the other so it is completely down to personal preference. Tealight warmers are the hotter of the two. This means that it produces a stronger scent throw but at the same time, the scent will also fade quicker. Since an electric burner does not require a tealight, it is the safer option if there are children or pets around.
  • How often should I change the wax?
We recommend switching to a new wax melt every 6-8 hours. We do offer wax liners if you like to use one of your melts and then let it solidify again and swap out for a different fragrance before coming back to your first scent.
  • What is the best way to remove wax from my warmer?
One of the easiest ways is to light your warmer for a minute or so until the very bottom has just begun to melt and the solid wax should just slide out. Then wipe up what's left with a cotton wool ball (be careful as the warmer may be hot). After the balls have soaked up all the remaining wax, you are ready to pop your new melt in and enjoy. If you are using a wax liner, just let the wax cool and solidify and then pop it our of the liner.
  • Can I mix different scented melts in my burner?
Although some people try this, we would not recommend it. The fragrances are tested and Safety Data Sheets are professionally created for each fragrance due to the ingredients. When fragrances are mixed it can lead to unpredictable reactions.
